King of stone stamping material `` Tawang ''

Here, I would like to introduce my point of view on "Taikoshi", which has long reigned as a king among stone stamping materials.

● What is Tanokoshi?

Tanokoishi is the king of stone stamping materials. The price is much higher than other stones, but the price is also quite different because there are quite a lot of old and new ones.
Because of its value, it is very often fake and authentic. These points may also be king characteristics.

So, what does Tanoh mean in the first place? In fact, Tanuki is one of Taishi. Taishi is a stone that is collected from rice fields in a mountain several kilometers square called Shoushango. There is a whole area called Taikozaka in Shouzango, and the stones obtained from it are called "Taikoshi".
Unlike other stones, Tao seems to have rolled in the Tawangzaka and rice fields near this hill. (Other stones are usually collected through mining.) These are said to have been exhausted in the early Qing dynasty of China, but it seems that they are still being dug out today.
However, it is actually like searching for a gold vein, and it seems that many people are going bankrupt.
China is a very mysterious country. There is a lot of information around us, but there are still many things we don't know.
Anyway, there is no substitute for a fascinating stone, so please look around. However, as for other stones, there are only a few bargains like Tanishi, which are unfortunately very few (almost none).

● Types and connoisseurs of Tanokoshi

It is said that Tanoh has the six virtues of On, Jun, Fine, Yui, Ko, and Max. What this means is "the highest quality stamping material".
It is often said that you need to have Rafukumon, red muscle, and yellow skin, but I think it is better to use these six virtue as a guide.
The reason is that Luo-Champung and Red-Muscle can also appear on other stones.
In addition, various names are given to Tanoh from the color.
Golden yellow, chicken oil yellow, tachibana skin yellow, ripe chestnut yellow, loquat yellow, katsura yellow, gold silver (gold back silver), silver gold (silver back gold) and so on.
It seems that there is also a ranking by this. Below are a few photos.

It is a moist stone that does not have much transparency.

● The idea of Liu Zen

As shown in the photo above, each stone has its own characteristics, and at the same time, the color is something that people like and dislike. Isn't it just a good material just to have the name Tanoh? Isn't it possible to say that only first-class products that fit in a museum are Tanoh? I think it would be more fun to think about it and this, and I think that it is better not only to stick to such names and types, but to choose with your favorite color shape, knob, etc. think.

Of course, old items and first-class items are so shivering that I want it, but the price is completely different. It is millions of yen (tens of millions are Zara). Even small items cost hundreds of thousands of yen. Still, it feels like it's worth it when you touch it and try to pick it up.
The stone has an excellent balance of viscosity and hardness, and has the best carving taste.

If you are collecting stone stamping materials, there is no doubt that one is the stone you want to have. However, on the other hand, the difficulty of obtaining it is high, and I have failed many times with this stone.
Please refer to this picture and try to find the Tawangite that you think is the best.
If you get a good one, please send me a photo again. We look forward to your feedback.
